The elk standing in the mist at the edge of the
water breathes out forming a cloud. It will bring
rain there and elsewhere. Words and thoughts
carry far. We make our own atmosphere. Even
the smallest local actions can cause a chain of
events that produce great consequences far
away. Chaos theory speaks about the butterfly
effect which says that the flapping of a butterfly’
s wings may be able to cause or stop a tornado.
Small acts can lead to immense outcomes in our
interrelated dynamic world.
